Whilst ironing my England shirt in preparation for tomorrows match (yes I do know how to use an iron thank you very much, and as you can see, the shirt is quite creased), I noticed that all the lights in the aparment dim everytime the iron heats up. The fridge also skips a beat as if it is going into cardiac arrest as well.
I never noticed this at home. Maybe American electricity is some form of 'diet electricity' and is not as potent as good as the old 'full fat' English stuff!
I know that US 'lecky' is 'safer' as it is only 110volts as opposed to the full 240volts back home. Mind you, it is the amps that kill you not the volts, so electrocution US style maybe less painful. I am not about to find out though if I can help it!
I did manage a couple of 'jolts' of the full fat stuff back home and I cannot recommend it at all, so beware.
Not sure what the point of this posting was now - anyway - its typed up now so that's that!
