Network sniffing... or 'staying in on the pull'..?

So, as you may know, when you connect to a wireless network you have to go find the network that you want to connect to - this is usually called 'sniffing'

Due to the poor HiFi experience I was having (see previous posts) I decided to try my oldest HiFi - my portable Technics system - by golly it works!

So I decided to connect my latest bit of high tech to it - the wireless Airport so that I can stream sounds direct from the computer into the HiFi without tripping over an wires...

As I was looking for my network 'Tadblaster' I saw the other available networks in the area - check out the top one in the screen grab... A new form of dating..?!!

Goes to show once again that users will find an unexpected use for just about anything - they bend technology to their needs (in this case, sex by the looks of it - mind you - that's what made the internet so big in the first place)

Working on wireless products - this is an interesting insight in to the minds of creative users in the pursuit of the oldest pastime since time began...
