I went to see the doc the other week (I go more often these days as I am paying for it!)
I went to have a few stitches removed, which being very quick and painless I asked if he could take a look at my knee (hurts when I go walking).
He took a look and suggested I get X-rays on my knee and hip.
hmmm - call a hospital, get an appointment in about 3 weeks at a bad time and get them taken I thought...
But no - a guy arrived in a few minutes and said "I'm here to do your X-rays"
Good job he did not suggest an amputation...
