Cycling in LA... are you crazy..!

...is what you mostly hear when you say 'I cycled to work today'

Which is exactly what I did 2 days this week. Was good to get back into the habit I had in London.

I found cycling here much more relaxing - despite the god-awful driving skills of the local populace (blame that on the ridiculous driving test).

I was treated more like a novelty item, the kind of thing they had seldom, if ever seen on the road. I was given good passing width and could have really 'owned' the inside lane if I had wanted to.

I got the feeling that most of the drivers were a little stunned and drove past in a haze thinking... "cycling in LA... he must be crazy..!"
