Idalis, our downstairs neighbour asked us if we wanted to go to the boxing match last weekend. We have never been and it was a wourl championship bout so that opportunity don't happen often.
So off we go in a group of 7 to the Staples center ( me and 6 beautiful women :-)
We get there and Idalis is met at the door and we are lead to our seats...
We get into the huge stadium (the one where we saw the Arena football previously) and we are led forwards and forwards and forwards until it was not possible to go forwards any more...
We were ringside!
Behind Rocky's corner... the trainers and TV men were the only people in front of us!
Rocky was the underdog and the smaller guy - so we all rooted for him - this was broadcast live on HBO live pay per view and we were on camera a few times - one with me 3 feet from the camera, arms outstretched, thumbs up yelling ROOOOCKY!!! :-)
It was an amazing night out - we had lots of fun.
It was announched at the end that it was a drawn match, as Rocky walked by me I tapped his arm and said' you were the winner in my book' he nodded his head and tapped me back - I inspired him there I tell you...
Funny how this happens in boxing... later it was leaked out that there had been a 'counting error' and Rocky was beaten - hmmmmm...
Anyway - I would sooner have been Rocky's face that night than Barrera's - his was swollen up like a large sore looking swollen thing...
Camera lesson:
I wrongly assumed that we would be up in the nose bleeds for this one - free tickets an all - Anita took her camera, I did not... Anita's camera ran out of power after about 5 pics... that left me with the crappy Treo (sigh) - lesson learned - take that camera everywhere!!!

Ringside seating - the view from Rocky's corner

Rockey Juarez leaves the ring

Rocky approaches for a little inspiration from me
On a side note...
