Black top

On those rare days when we get rain here - it causes chaos on the roads - you would think they had never seen the stuff before...

As I mentioned in a earlier post - it is really easy to get wheel spin without trying - so you have to set off gently.

The other problem is that the tarmac over here is not really very black... more of a light grey or even beige... this is fine as it does not get all hot and melt in the summer...

however, at night, in the rain, the contrast between the white lines and the road is hard to see... Catseyes never made it over here it seems and the the result is that all the traffic wanders around in 'virtual lanes' as opposed to real ones... this can get hairy in all that traffic...

Glad I bought a truck ;-)
