It rained yesterday - a typical British thing to do - not too hard, but hard enough to create a swathe of puddles across all the streets and many 'rivers' to drive through. I managed to splash water over the bonnet on several occasions on the way home - great fun :-)
We get so little rain here that when it does rain it all just runs off the surface. Roads are slippery due to the film of water that builds up on the oil (as proven to me this morning when I wheelspun the truck setting off at the lights twice)
The good thing about the rain is it does clear the air and the views the next day from the mountains are amazing - sea on one side and snow capped peaks in the distance over LA to the other (I would show you but I forgot my camera that day - Doh!)
